Properly dispose of household hazardous waste

Find alternatives to chemicals, properly dispose of hazardous waste, store better what you do have at home and work

Help to properly dispose of household hazardous waste.

Download our waste fact sheet.

Check with your local county or municipality to find out about Household Hazardous Waste depots or drop-off days in your area.

For more information on household hazardous waste, other than paint collection, visit Resource Productivity and Recovery Authority’s Where to Recycle Map.

Some information on household hazardous waste collection in the Maitland Valley and Ausable Bayfield areas can be found in the fact sheet, subject to change.

In some counties there are household hazardous waste depots or even ‘drop-off’ days.

Call local paint suppliers or home improvement stores to ask if they accept this waste.

Thank you for finding alternatives to harmful chemicals, reducing the amounts you store, storing what you need better, and properly disposing of hazardous waste you no longer need.
