 Close to 50 attend meetings for businesses

Close to 50 people attended three meetings held in the region in 2009 for owners of business properties.
The meetings were held in Brussels (Nov. 19), Harriston (October 15) and Palmerston (March 26). A meeting for adjacent business reps in four source protection regions was also held in Mitchell (September 15).
Business property owners learned about threats assessment field verification site visits currently taking place, about financial assistance opportunities for pollution prevention reviews, wells, septics and other best management practices and about source protection plans which will be prepared by 2012.
